Then again, this is definitely not directed at most gamers. Cooler Master says the Orb X is “where luxury meets technology.” And that’s a statement we believe because it feels like it costs money just to look at it. But dammit if the Orb X doesn’t look like it would be an amazing chair to game in.

The Cooler Master Orb X is packed with drool-worthy features

One look at this chair and you’d probably think it must be filled with all kinds of features. And you’d be right. For starters, it comes with an ergonomic recliner to keep you comfortable while gaming. Complete with a headrest, lumbar support, and multiple seating positions that you can adjust at the push of a button. It also has built-in surround sound speakers to help provide that immersive experience when gaming or watching movies. Speaking of gaming (or workflows), the Orb X will support up to three 27-inch monitors or one 34-inch monitor. Sorry Odyssey Neo G9 owners, your monitor probably exceeds the suggested weight and size requirements. One aspect of the setup we aren’t quite sure about is the hidden compartment for PCs and consoles. Both machines tend to have ports or drives you may need access to. But to keep with the Orb X’s clean design, Cooler Master has created the hidden compartment to keep things tidy and organized. It doesn’t show off exactly where that compartment is though so it’s unclear how accessible the PC or console may be once hidden. That being said, the chair also features six available USB ports and a control panel to manage everything plugged into them. So the hidden compartment may be a non-issue. On top of that, the extra-large desk space provides plenty of room for your peripherals, and there’s even wireless charging built right into the desk. All-in-all, it seems like a gamer’s dream. Save for what will most certainly be a high cost to purchase one. Oh, the chair also comes in both Arctic White and a sleek Universe Black color.

It’s a style of chair we’ve seen before

The Orb X is a style of chair you’ve probably seen before in some form. Cluvens for instance created the SK-Scorpion. Another futuristic gaming chair/workstation that comes with a lot of cool features and an expensive price tag to match. And its newest chair for 2022, called the Unicorn 2.0, comes with some upgrades like a genuine leather seat. All three chair models it offers also run on a motorized series of components with a lean-back seat and the protruding arm mount for your monitors. Much like the Orb X. What Cooler Master has done is take that concept and clean things up a bit. The design feels like it was inspired somewhat by the aesthetics of Aperture Science turrets from Portal and Portal 2.
