Now, the pricing of the new TVs hasn’t been reported. But there are some serious changes coming to this year’s models regardless, and those changes apply to all variants. With purchasing available from April 6 and pre-orders running through April 5. Preregistrations, conversely, will open up tomorrow — starting February 22 — and will run through March 15. Meaning that pre-orders will be available from around March 16. Alongside enhancements to built-in surround sound and better contrast ratio, this year’s models also add 14-bit HDR Mapping. That means that details will be far crisper in scenes that are both dark and bright. Accenting other top-tier features and image quality improvements founding the top-tier sets. Samsung will have several new series to choose from. The Samsung 4K Neo QLED TVs will be available in a QN95B and QN85B lineup, running from 55-inches to 85-inches. While the QN90B models will be available from 43-inches up to 85-inches. Those who want to go 8K but don’t necessarily need all of that size will want to look at the Samsung 8K Neo QLED QN700B model. That set will be available in 55-inch versions up to 75-inches. Samsung 8K Neo QLED models QN900B and QN800B, conversely, will be available up to 85-inches, starting from 65-inches.

This Neo QLED news from Samsung is about sound as much as about image

Now, Samsung has already released New QLED TVs prior to this announcement. The company introduced the new technology back in early 2021 and even had some sets up for Black Friday sales that same year. And, as indicated above, the new technology was, at the time, mostly focused on image quality. As are the newest iterations of those, with enhancements effectively across the board. The latest offerings from Samsung go a bit further though. Specifically on audio, with each new set offering full support not only for new enhancements for surround sound across the board. This year also includes support for Dolby Atmos technology. That means that audio will be presented not just from left, right, and center channels. But effectively from every direction, including above.
