This brings Razer’s gaming chair lineup to six models. Which includes the new Enki models as well as the Iskur, Iskur X, and Iskur Fabric. The Enki though takes a whole different approach to gaming than the Iskur. For starters, Razer tested the comfort using pressure mapping to gather data from multiple test subjects. The data of each test subject also varied from age to gender to weight. Allowing Razer to gather more accurate information for designing a chair that works for the majority of gamers.
The Razer Enki gaming chair offers “optimal weight distribution”
Where the Iskur chair was mainly designed for what Razer refers to as a niche group (those that want improved lumbar support), the Enki is more about all-day comfort for basically everyone else. While it doesn’t have the adjustable lumbar support like the Iskur, it does still have a built-in lumbar arch. The focal points of this new chair though lie in the wider seat base and the wider shoulder arch. The Enki features an “ultrawide” 21-inch seat base. As opposed to the more enclose racing style seat base you’ll find on the Iskur and many other gaming chairs. It also has a wider shoulder arch of 110 degrees. So overall you have more space to sit in the chair and your weight is dispersed more evenly across the base. Razer even used different hardness ratings for the foam of the back and seat base. A 75 foam hardness, Razer says, ensure better back support while the 60 foam hardness in the base provides better comfort.
All three versions of the Enki are mostly the same
For the most part, the Enki, Enki X and Enki Pro are the same. Except for a couple of features. They all come with the 110-degree shoulder arch, 21-inch seat base, built-in lumbar arch, optimized cushion density, and the 152-degree recline. The dual textured EPU leather however only comes on the base Enki and Enki X. Which Razer says is more eco-sustainable and still plenty durable. The Enki Pro meanwhile comes uses premium Alcantara leatherette, and comes with a dual density seat cushion as well as a magnetic head pillow and a carbon fiber back. The Enki and Enki Pro offer the metal-reinforced 4D armrests, the memory foam headrest pillow, and the reactive seat tilt features. You can still get the seat pillow with the Enki X but you have to buy it separately and it isn’t the magnetic version that comes with the Pro model. And the armrests are 2D. But Razer makes no other compromises on the less expensive model. Both the Enki and Enki X chairs are available from today with the Enki retailing for $399, while the Enki X retails for $299. The Enki Pro goes on sale in Q1 of 2022 for $999. Alongside the Enki chair, Razer also unveiled new PC components, the Zephyr mask launch, and a new gaming headset.
