Among the more pertinent perks for Verizon customers following the new partnership is “First Access” for Verizon Up members. And that means first access to Live Nation tours and events, specifically for Verizon Up members. Initial program events including a presale for The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn Tour, in early March. However, events will include a swath of artists and programs. Including upcoming offerings for tours and events featuring Imagine Dragons, Dierks Bentley, Rosalía, and others. Making those events more accessible to those who might not otherwise be able to get tickets before the shows sell out. Verizon Up, conversely, is free to join via the My Verizon app.

What else is coming via the Live Nation partnership with Verizon?

Verizon and Live Nation have also been working in close conjunction to ensure continued 5G deployment at Live Nation clubs, theaters, and other venues. That won’t be changing with the new partnership deal. With one or two added perks for Verizon customers. Including exclusive access to some artists’ streaming concerts via Veeps as part of Verizon’s +play. The +play platform, conversely, is slated to launch later this year. While Verizon’s highest-speed 5G will continue rolling out to ensure easier sharing at the venues. Venues that, typically, have ended up cluttered and unusable with older mobile data technologies. The enhancements allowed by 5G won’t end there either. Live Nation venue AR filters will be powered by next-gen networking too. As well as integrated 5G multi-cam features for live-streamed shows. Those will, the company says, deliver similar experiences to the “Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show Ultra Pass Powered by Verizon 5G Ultra-Wideband. Namely, that offered users access to 360-degree views from the stadium, field, and stage for the event. In addition to virtual venues captured in 3D via 5G, the partnership will offer NFTs exclusively for Verizon customers. Those will be redeemable in-venue for even more benefits. Although the companies haven’t provided details as to what those benefits are, specifically.

5G is coming to more venues too

Now, a full list of venues “outfitted with 5G” hasn’t been unveiled just yet. But some have, including The Wiltern in Los Angeles, The Fillmore in Miami, and The Fillmore Silver Spring in Silver Springs. The House of Blues in Anaheim, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and San Diego are among those that feature next-gen networking from Verizon. And at least one more venue is incoming to join the list as well. The Irving Plaza in New York City will be renamed Irving Plaza Powered by Verizon 5G, as part of the deal. And, following renovations, the venue will offer access to Verizon Up members with interactive experiences, as outlined above.
