But LG UltraGear monitors now have a little bit more prestige. Today, LG has announced that its UltraGear monitors are now the official monitor for the League Of Legends European Championship. League Of Legends is one of the biggest competitive multiplayer games out there. And its tournaments are some of the most watched and most popular. So for one of the championships to favor LG UltraGear monitors over others, it’s a big deal.
The LG UltraGear League Of Legends partnership will last for two years
The new two-year partnership will see LG’s UltraGear monitors used at tournaments officially throughout that time frame. Where players competing will “put the monitors through their paces” as LG puts it. LG will also sponsor various segments surrounding the tournament, such as Replays and The Match Of The Week. This won’t be the first partnership for LG with gaming-related brands. It’s held partnerships with Esports team Evil Geniuses, the ESL, and more. So it should come as no surprise to see an official partnership with Riot pop up. Seeing as how big League Of Legends is to the Esports scene. This will also serve to add more recognition to LG’s already glowing brand. Will it help LG sell more UltraGear monitors? Who knows. But it’s quite likely, especially for fans of the LEC and those who will both attend and watch the tournaments. Additional partnerships include the Esports League Mobile Open, and Gen.G. Even without these partnerships, many consumers looking for a good gaming monitor will know to at least consider LG UltraGear. But it definitely doesn’t hurt LG’s chances of selling even more monitors to have this kind of brand presence. This past week at CES, LG announced a range of new display products, which included a new UltraGear laptop bound for the market this year. LG is also one of many brands that unveiled new gaming monitors for 2022. Including brands like ASUS, AOC, ViewSonic, Samsung and more.
