The Pixel 7 Pro does share some of its specs with its smaller sibling, but it has some advantages. It comes with a larger display, which is not only sharper, but it’s more fluid as well. It has one extra camera on the back, and more RAM.
The Pixel 7 Pro specifications are quite powerful, and the Tensor G2 SoC is included
Google’s Tensor G2 processor fuels the Pixel 7 Pro. That is the same chip Google used in the Pixel 7. It is the company’s second-gen ‘Tensor’ processor, by the way. It comes with the Titan M2 coprocessor. The Pixel 7 Pro also includes 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, along with either 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage, depending on which model you choose. That storage is not expandable, by the way.
The phone utilizes a large 120Hz LTPO OLED display
The ‘Pro’ Pixel 7 device features a 6.7-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440, 512 PPI) LTPO OLED display, which is curved. That display has a 120Hz refresh rate, by the way, and it does support HDR content. This display gets up to 1,500 nits of peak brightness. It also offers Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
A 5,000mAh battery is included inside of this smartphone. The device supports both wired and wireless charging. Its wired charging caps out at 23W, the same as its wireless charging. Do note that the charging is not constant at that speed, though. Google says you can get a 50-percent charge in about 30 minutes. Reverse wireless charging is also supported here. The Pixel 7 Pro does not include a charger in the box.
Android 13 comes pre-installed, while there is no audio jack
The device is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner, and supports facial scanning. Bluetooth 5.2 is included here, and 5G is also supported. The phone also includes stereo speakers, and no 3.5mm headphone jack. A dual SIM setup is also on offer here, Google is offering a nano SIM + eSIM combo in the Pixel 7 Pro. Android 13 comes pre-installed on the phone.
The camera hardware looks very familiar
A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.85 aperture, 82-degree FoV, 1.2um pixel size, Dual Pixel PDAF, Laser AF, Quad Bayer camera, OIS, EIS) sits on the back of the phone. It is accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 125.8-degree FoV, 1.25um pixel size, OIS, EIS, lens correction), and a 48-megapixel telephoto unit (f/3.5 aperture, 0.7um pixel size, OIS, PDAF, 5x optical zoom, 30x Super Resolution Zoom, Quad Bayer camera). A 10.8-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.2 aperture, 92.8-degree FoV, Fixed Focus, 1.22um pixel size) is also a part of the package. The Pixel 7 Pro comes in Hazel, Obsidian, and Snow color variants. The device measures 170 x 76.6 x 8.9mm, and it weighs 212 grams.
