The Smart Caddie app is useful for both golf professionals as well as amateur golf enthusiasts. It offers features like shot distance measurement and several other performance metrics. The app also provides detailed information on more than 40,000 golf courses worldwide. This includes the actual measurement of the hole, aerial photos of the golf course, and satellite maps. For golf courses in South Korea, Smart Caddie provides course elevation information as well. “With the Galaxy Watch 4 Golf Edition, which provides various convenient functions, consumers who enjoy golf will find the sport even more enjoyable,” said a Samsung official. “We hope to enjoy the best golf life together.”
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Golf Edition: Price and availability
The Galaxy Watch 4 Golf Edition is available in two size models: 40mm in silver color and 44mm in black color. The two models are priced at KRW 299,000 (approx. $256) and KRW 329,000 (~$282) respectively in South Korea. The wearable is available to purchase through Samsung’s official website and Samsung Digital Plaza, as well as golf accessory retailers Golping and Golf Zone Market. Samsung says it will also launch an LTE variant of the Galaxy Watch 4 Golf Edition “at a later date.” Note that apart from the golf-specific features, it’s the same Galaxy Watch 4 that Samsung launched last month. Meaning you’re getting the same Exynos W920 processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The 40mm model sports a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display of 450×450 pixels resolution. The bigger, 44mm model gets a 1.4-inch identical display. The wearable features Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and GPS. There are, of course, tons of health features including a BIA (Bo-electrical Impedance Analysis) sensor that helps measure your body mass composition. You get a heart rate monitor, blood saturation sensor (SpO2), stress monitor, sleep cycle monitor, and many other health features. You can find more details about the Galaxy Watch 4 here. Samsung doesn’t tell if and when the Golf Edition of its latest smartwatch will be available in markets outside South Korea. Samsung did make the Golf Edition variants of previous-gen Galaxy Watch models available in some other markets. So there’s some hope. We will let you know as soon as we have more information.
