Laptops will span a range of price points, too. So there is likely to be something that fits most budgets for consumers who are searching for a gaming laptop or a laptop upgrade. In addition to the Legion 5 Pro and Legion 5i Pro, Lenovo is also announcing the Legion 5i and Legion 5. The laptops can come with either Intel’s latest 12th Gen processors or the latest generation of AMD Ryzen processors. As well as up to NVIDIA’s latest 30 series GPUs for enhanced graphics performance in games. One thing to keep in mind though is that Lenovo will have multiple configurations for each model. And prices will vary depending on how powerful you go with the components.

The Lenovo Legion 5i and 5i Pro are the Intel models

If you’re looking to go for the best of the best that Lenovo is offering this year, then you probably want to consider the Legion 5i Pro. It has the highest starting price point, but it also going to offer beefy specs. Though, all four should be fairly capable.  As noted above you can choose a laptop with either an AMD chip or an Intel chip. And while Lenovo hasn’t listed the exact GPU models that will be available, consumers should be able to choose up to an RTX 3080Ti. RAM options can go as high as 32GGB if you really want to make sure you have enough for everything. And you’re looking at Windows 11 pre-installed as well as a bevy of ports for your collection of devices and peripherals. There’s also the ability to get up to a 1TB SSD for storage.

All four models are fairly similar

Across the board the options for configuration aren’t too different. The main differences come down to screen size and resolution, and the CPU. The Legion 5 Pro and Legion 5i Pro come with WQHD+ displays, while the 5 and 5 Pro come with 15-inch  WQHD displays. There’s also a difference in the refresh rate, as the Pro models come with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, while the non-Pro models are up to 165Hz. Lastly, the “i” in the model name denotes that the use of an Intel CPU. So if you prefer the AMD Ryzen setup but still want the Pro, go with the Legion 5 Pro instead of the Legion 5i Pro. When it comes to pricing and availability, the Legion 5i Pro and Legion 5i will go on sale in February, with prices starting at $1,569.99 and $1,199.99 respectively. The Legion 5 Pro and Legion 5 meanwhile will go on sale in April with prices starting at $1,429.99 and $1,129.99.
