What is Das Race Goal?
Most people might not know what Das Race Goal is. It’s an Esport game that has people piloting remote-controlled cars on racetracks. What makes this different is the fact that people from all around the world can pilot these cars. People are able to pilot these cars from the comfort of their own homes. Using regular gaming controllers, they can have control over the cars from a distance.
The BMW and Das Race Goal partnership mimic Rocket League
With what Das Race Go can do, it only makes sense that car manufacturer BMW wanted to enter a partnership with the company. The thinking behind this partnership is that the Das Race Team will use its technology to pilot the cars in games of car soccer. The two companies will hold a live-stream event on December 12th at 1 PM EST. During this event, there will be a large tournament held at BMW’s Welt stadium in Munich. During this tournament, there will be six teams made up of three players each. Each team will consist of one young gamer (we’re not sure about the age limit), one professional Esports player, and one social media influencer. Each of these teams will be playing against one another. Both companies say that this is just the beginning of a long-term partnership. This means that we could possibly see other events like this from the companies in the future.
Speaking of Rocket League, Rocket League Sideswipe is now out
If you haven’t been keeping up with Rocket League, the mobile version of the popular game has just launched. This new game called Rocket League Sideswipe retains much of the formula of the original game but puts it in a 2D perspective. You fly across the field and try to get the ball into the goal. Much like the original game, you can use rocket boosts to give you a jump in speed. You have a lot of different vehicle customizations to personalize your car, and you can also choose the explosion effect that happens when you make a goal. Right now, Rocket League Sideswipe is in Season 1, so you can earn all sorts of prizes.
